Another year is underway and I am glad to say that Down Syndrome Cork continues to evolve all for the good of our children and adults.

After an eventful time since initial conception, and much planning, November 2015 saw the exciting announcement of the Field of Dreams project. We have secured 3 acres of land from Munster Agriculture Society. The same evening, Minister Simon Coveney, Department of Agriculture and Minister Kathleen Lynch, Department of Health announced their support to this project. Project is not entirely the right word – this is a wonderful adventure for the further development, learning and growth for our adults.

The demands of DSCork are also growing. We are welcoming new families regularly – the understanding is that we are parents who can offer support and help to other parents. Speech and language therapy continues to be of paramount importance in what we do and without the continued support in fundraising of parents, individuals and corporates, we would not be able to survive.

We welcome all offers of help and support and we feel the motto ‘Share the journey’ perfectly describes what we are about in DSCork. We are all on a journey – share with us.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our newly designed website.  You are welcome to contact us with any enquiries on 021 4300 444 or to email us at
