SUMMARY:Dance for Fun\, Centre Stage School\, Mallow
DESCRIPTION:\n\n‘Dance for Fun’ programme is to instil a love of dance and movement in children and young adults with Down Syndrom. Students will work on physical fitness\, rhythm\, flexibility and develop skills such as spacial awareness and general co-ordination. Each class will be set to energetic and age appropriate music and will introduce a variety of dance styles such as jazz\, hip hop and modern.\n\nStudents will learn to participate fully in a typical dance class structure starting each class with a warm up \, followed by corner work.  Corner work will focus on fundamental gross motor skills such as gallop\, skip\, hop\, jump and balance. The main body of the class will be spent teaching fun filled routines. Partner and group work will be highly encouraged so as to add to the social aspect of the class.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDance will be weekly – check mid terms\, holidays etc.\n
