Volunteer Ireland Awards – Ray O’Callaghan shortlisted

Congratulations to Ray O’Callaghan who has been shortlisted for an award in the ‘Children and Youth’ category of the Volunteer Ireland Awards.

Ray, with his family and friends have been invited to attend the awards ceremony on 7th December in Mansion House, Dublin.

Ray is a worthy candidate and is a great asset to Down Syndrome Cork and the Field of Dreams.  Ray, despite his demanding job as manager of Marks & Spencer, still manages to chair the board of DSCork and continues to make contacts and support for both DSCork and the Field of Dreams.

Ray was recently honoured when he was nominated the winner of the Pride of Marks & Spencer Award.

Ray is well deserving of the nomination and will receive a certificate for his volunteering on the evening.  Whether Ray wins the overall award is yet to be decided but DSCork and Field of Dreams have already been winners in having Ray’s enthusiasm and dedication behind the organisation.  Good luck Ray and thank you.
