Horticulture

Our Farm shop which is run on an honesty box system, is open from Monday to Friday, from 10-4pm selling ornamental and edible chemical free plants and produce which are all produced locally by our wonderful students & horticultural team.  We also sell our produce to various markets and restaurants who are keen to take high quality goods.

Our 3 acre site comprises of 4 themed gardens, (sensory, vegetable, fruit & remembrance) along with 3 polytunnels, a pumpkin patch, an orchard, a nursery and our resident sheep and hens.

Every June we showcase our plants and produce to over 55,000 attendees at the Cork Summer Show in collaboration with our partners The Munster Agricultural Society. 

Our Pick-A-Pumpkin Halloween Festival takes place during October at the Field of Dreams.  It’s always a  fantastic day out and a great way to harvest our 1000 plus pumpkins.

We are a model of Social farming, housing animals, such as sheep and hens, and our site provides a therapeutic setting for our staff, volunteers & students to learn and work in nature.

We run a vibrant Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme at the field from March to October each year. Our corporate partners get to experience our beautiful peaceful setting and we get the much needed hands -on help to maintain our 3 acre site, which allows us to be more sustainable.
